Cathedral Peak Hotel In 1937 Philip van der Riet bought Inhoek and Schaapkraal farms from "Ryk Isak" Buys. In 1938, his son, Albert van der Riet selected the site of the present day hotel. Together with his wife Doreen, they became hoteliers of note. Their first guests arrived for Christmas in 1939. Their son William and his wife Belinda have continued their example of genial hospitality and right now they are the owners of one of the best-loved holiday resorts in South Africa. The hotel boasts a Presidential Suite, private, free-standing Executive and Honeymoon suites, up to date family inter-leading and double Deluxe rooms and refurbished Standard rooms.
