Monks Cowl Hiking and walking trails

Situated in the Central Drakensberg, the Ezemevelo KZN Wildlife Park is home to Monks Cowl.
This is a favourite place to hike up to the Contour Path across into Wonder Valley or into the Cathedral Valley. Great challenging days hikes include Sterkhorn and Grey’s Pass.
There are a number of day walks to suit fitness and age levels.
Families and the “brave” enjoy the walks to the river to swim and play in the icy-cold streams.
Those wanting to experience the natural forests have a number of options and those wanting a view can take the paths leading up to the Spinx.
